Mauritius - Ile Aux Cerf

Ile Aux Cerf island know in English as deer island. It's located at the east of Mauritius. It's a long drive from where we stayed (Sands resort is on the west). But it's all worth it... This island is so so beautiful.. We chose a full day tour which include lunch. We topped up to have lobster lunch!! Wow wow....

It's really windy at the east side of Mauritius during winter.. Please remember to wear a jacket if you choose to visit during winter.

So... the first stop was parasailing.. (this is optional) This was my second experience and my hubby's first. I was as excited as my first time.. hehe... The speedboat sent us to a platform in the middle of the sea to have our parasailing while our friends go directly to the island..

You can choose to go parasailing together with your partner.. So me and my hubby went up together.. hee... oh ya.. there was a touch and go when you play parasailing.. It's completely safe ya :)

We didn't carry our camera with us as we afraid it will drop.. so no photos of the nice top view..

After the trip, the boat will come and pick us up to the island.. Here we are at this beautiful island....

It's like a lagoon when you walk into the island.. The water is ankle height which is perfectly good for kids... (Hope we can bring our kids here in future. They will love this place)

All we did is laze in the beach.. Soak in water, take photos and enjoying the beautiful island...

After a whole morning of lazing at beach, we went to pick up point for our sumptuous lunch.. We were brought to another island.. A really private area only for us...

This is the place that we will have our lunch..

It seems like we booked the whole island only for us.. lol

They are preparing our BBQ lunch..

While they are preparing for our lunch, we walk around to take more photos...

Argggggg.... We are hungry!!!!!

This Garlic bread is sooo nice!!!

And the chicken nv fail us... Super delicious!!!!

here comes our lobster!!! Yum Yum

We have free flow of drinks and some coleslaw as well.. They didn't hesitate to top up our chicken after we finished our share.. All the activities here were very relax... After lunch, we have plenty of time to explore the island.. but we chose to play in the water.. hahaha...

So we soak in the water, lay on the beach to nap till around 4pm when the boat came to pick us. And..... It's not the end of our trip, we were brought to see waterfall!!!

Let's say goodbye to this beautiful and quiet island!!

This waterfall can only be reached by boat.. It's not very high and big waterfall though.

That's the end of our Island hopping trip.. It's also the end of my blog for Mauritius.. Before I forget every details of this trip, I'm writing this down in case I am going again!!! hahaha...

Mauritius - Land tour

In my previous posts of Mauritius, I was blogging about my experience of the airline, hotel and dolphins. In this post, I would like to blog about things that you can do or we did in Mauritius.

We went for a day trip for sightseeing with another French couple that we met in the hotel. We went to see the Chamarel waterfall, Curepipe Crater, 7 colored earth. We did island hopping (another blog) as well which is somewhere you should go if you are a beach lover!!!

We didn't really do a detailed itinerary when we go for beach holiday. Same for this trip, so we just joined them when they mentioned about this day trip. Not going to blog much, since I didn't do much research.. So let photos explain to u... hee..
This is the crater at Curepipe..

The Chameral Waterfall.. Our tour guide, Sam brought us in so that he can show us the best spot to take photos. And Indead, they are nice.. Many ppl followed us after they saw us walked into that spot to take photos.

My imagination run wild and here we did this post.. lol

Another post guided by Sam.. A heart shape frame with the leaves.. hee..
 Ta da.... heart shape!!!
We also visited some temples there... We didn't request that but just follow the other couple.. Sam explained every details when we visited those places.. So we are quite happy with his service.
Sorry that I do not have a very good camera so here is the 7 colored earth... You can see it clearly when you are there... Realized that we didn't count if it's really 7 colours..

There some turtles in the same area as well.. These turtles seem like hiding there to shade themselves..hahaha..

We ended our trip to this fabulous hilltop view.. Forgotten the name of this place as we drove passed and stopped to take photos.

What can you see from this photo?? It is resemble a sleeping king kong??

I will continue on island hopping on my next blog..
